Since a few of our WoW guild members were clamoring for it I went and setup a portion of the website geared more towards their needs. This way they might associate more with other clan members on the forums and maybe even start being active on IRC. Clan-mAc.com is here for its members, so if you guys ever want something added to the site then all you have to do is ask. Please leave any comments or suggestions in the announcement thread. Due to a bout of forgetfulness on member Tyr’s part the Vent server has been reset with a new IP. Until the DNS update has propagated throughout the net you can use 69.12.30.133:2347 in the mean time. Anyway, how ’bout them Mac Pros….

I’m not even gonna bother tallying up the number of spam comments deleted this time. Suffice it to say that the SpamAssasin module I installed months ago is helping very nicely to keep the number low. (Low as in it only taking a few minutes to delete them instead of an hour.) Something to clarify is the proper addresses and ports for our voice servers. Just to review, mAc has a Ventrilo server and a TeamSpeak server. The TS server continues to be ts.clan-mac.com:9852 and the Vent server has changed to vent.clan-mac.com:2344 This change happened months ago but some people seem to be unaware or just plain forgetful. As always, current information can be gleaned from the forums or the Macpedia. If in doubt just check the FAQ.

Some 2,000 plus spam and un-approved comments later this weblog is now 2,000 plus comments leaner. It amazes me how I’ve never posted here before, or even left comments in the almost 2 years we’ve been using WordPress, and yet I’m the one that cleans this crap out. You can all thank me later. Oh wait, you can’t since comments are henceforth disabled.
